This programme provided placement and training to empower the underprivileged particularly women living in the suburbs of Port-Louis through Garment Making programme for social and economic uplift. Through this training we would increase the employability of women through the entrepreneurship skills development and support the beneficiaries through a mentoring system to seek employment in the private sector or launch their small businesses and encourage them to operate in small teams.
The persons targeted are mostly women in need of special support to help them come out of the poverty net. These people are victims of social problems and thus face low financial income. Their families are unable to afford the rising costs of living.
